What is RFQ Smart? +
RFQ Smart is a digital workspace built to simplify how requests for quotation are managed. It helps buyers and suppliers communicate more clearly, more consistently and more quickly, cutting down on emails, scattered files and confusion.
Who is it for? +
For companies that handle requests for quotation on a regular basis — as buyers, as suppliers, or both — and want to make that process simpler, more traceable and more efficient.
What does RFQ Smart NOT do? +
RFQ Smart does not handle orders, payments or shipping. It focuses purely on the request and quotation stage, leaving the commercial processes your company already uses exactly as they are.
Do suppliers have to register? +
No. Each supplier receives a unique link tied to that specific RFQ and can reply directly without creating an account. Registration is optional and unlocks quote history, analytics and standalone quote management.
Is there a limit to how many suppliers I can invite? +
No. There is no technical limit to the number of suppliers you can invite to a single RFQ.
Which file formats are supported? +
All the main formats used in industrial settings are supported:
  • Documents: PDF, Excel, Word, CSV
  • Technical drawings and 2D/3D CAD: STEP, IGES, DXF
  • Electronics: Gerber files (GBR, GTL, GBL)
  • BIM and other commonly used technical formats
Do I have to add every supplier by hand? +
No. You can import your existing supplier database from an Excel or CSV file, so there’s no manual data entry.
How quickly will I receive quotes? +
That depends on how complex the request is and how responsive your suppliers are. RFQ Smart can’t speed up a human reply, but it removes every operational delay in between: instant dispatch and automatic reminders cut out the avoidable waiting.
Does the platform compare quotes automatically? +
Yes. RFQ Smart organises incoming quotes into a clear comparison view, so you can weigh up prices, delivery times and terms at a glance — with a combined score that points to the strongest option.
Are buyers and suppliers bound to anything? +
No. Using RFQ Smart creates no commercial obligation between buyers and suppliers. Every negotiation stays independent and remains entirely the responsibility of the parties involved. RFQ Smart is not a party to any commercial contract.
Are my data and documents protected? +
